What makes OUR megA Carp SPECIAL?
Our giant Angling carp stock were imported from Lake Gigantica fishery in France. These fish have a diversity suitable to any fishery and can grow up to 50 kg given the right environment. In recent years we have seen record breaking growth rates in South Africa of up to 7 kg in one year because of the ideal African climate conditions.

Mega Carp International was founded back in 1997 when founder Frederick Sterzel became intrigued by the enormous angling carp found in Europe and decided to import and breed them on South African soil with the vision of one day seeing a World Record Carp coming from our local waters.
